The Associate Application Developer position serves as an entry level role in application development. The role involves using foundational knowledge of programming languages to build and maintain software programs and applications. Individuals are expected to learn defined development languages and methodologies while gaining familiarity with assigned support areas.
The position includes analyzing requirements and functional specifications, then designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting enhancements or fixes for applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java based applications with attention to quality and scalability.
- Follow established best practices to produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Work closely with product, design, and QA teams across functions.
- Debug and resolve application and system related issues.
- Participate in code reviews and assist with architectural and design improvements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 1 year of practical experience in Java application development.
- Understanding of object oriented programming principles.
- Exposure to frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of relational databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
