Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bangalore, is seeking an SDE 3 for Backend Engineering to design and scale backend systems that serve millions of users. The role emphasizes architecture, API governance, and high availability across cloud-native microservices.

You will lead the development of distributed platforms, mentor engineers, and drive best practices for reliability, security, and performance. Strong expertise in Node.js/Java Spring Boot and messaging systems is required.

Formación

• 6-10+ years of backend engineering and distributed systems experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and Java Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale microservices architectures.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
• Strong expertise in backend design patterns, scalability, resiliency, and performance.
• Hands-on with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with API Gateway, security controls, authentication, authorization, and traffic management.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures, containers, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Advanced knowledge of testing strategies, TDD, automation, observability, and production monitoring.
• Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring capabilities.
