Job summary

Alion is seeking an experienced software engineer to drive architecture and delivery of high-performance, scalable systems. You will design, implement, and refine features across web, mobile, and database layers, ensuring rigorous testing and quality checks.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects, architect customer and partner integrations, and contribute to design discussions and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or related technical discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience.
• Expertise in software design and development.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language (e.g., Java).
• Strong CS fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
• Strong track record of delivering large, cross-functional projects.
• Experience with building high-performance, scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with API design and third-party integrations.
• Ability to analyze breadthwise and depth-wise in service design.

• Ensure the code goes through rigorous tests and quality checks before deployment.

• Be hands‑on technically, thus leading by example using web, mobile, and databases.

• Have knowledge about Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects.
• Experience with building high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with API Design, ability to architect and implement an intuitive customer and third-party integration story.
• Ability to think and analyze both breadthwise (client, server, DB, and control flow) and depth-wise (threads, sessions, and space-time complexity) while designing and implementing services.
