Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Bengaluru is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to design and develop control plane software for next generation networking infrastructure. This hybrid role expects you to work from an HPE office about two days per week.

The ideal candidate holds a B.E. or equivalent in CS/ECE/EE/IT and has 6–9 years of hands-on experience with C/C++, Linux, and data structures, plus strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork.

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition

Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Management Level Definition

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

As a Systems Software Engineer you will be designing and developing control plane software on platforms running the Next Generation JUNOS Evolved networking infrastructure. You will be working closely with a team of strong and seasoned engineers.
