Job summary

Walker Digital Table Systems, LLC is seeking a senior software architect to lead enterprise architecture across platforms and teams. You will own end-to-end design for scalable, fault-tolerant solutions, and drive governance and best practices.

The role requires mentoring engineers, evaluating technology choices, and aligning technology with long-term business objectives. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Python, Kafka, and PostgreSQL is essential.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in enterprise software architecture, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and large-scale platform design.
• Ability to evaluate technology choices, perform architectural trade-off analysis, and recommend solutions balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, security, operational complexity, and long-term business objectives.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Kafka, PostgreSQL, cloud-native technologies.
• Proven ability to architect highly scalable, fault-tolerant, high-performance systems capable of processing millions of transactions with high availability and resilience.
• Ability to drive the end-to-end architecture of an enterprise product across all technology layers, including application, database, infrastructure, DevOps, networking, deployment, observability, and security.
• Strong understanding of architectural frameworks, design principles, design patterns, and industry best practices required to design complete software products from concept to production.
• Expertise in caching, database optimization, messaging systems, load balancing, resiliency patterns, performance engineering, and capacity planning.
• Experience integrating complex third-party systems, enterprise platforms, APIs, cloud services, and fragmented technology ecosystems into cohesive solutions.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities across application, database, infrastructure, network, and production environments.
• Ability to define architecture standards, technology roadmaps, engineering guidelines, and non-functional requirements while remaining hands-on with design, coding, and proof-of-concept development.
• Proven leadership in mentoring engineers and architects, conducting architecture reviews, evaluating technologies, driving technical governance, and successfully delivering strategic technology initiatives.

Responsibilities
