Job summary

James Douglas is seeking a Software Architect – Industrial Digital Platforms and Applications to design next-generation industrial software platforms for large-scale operations, integrating OT systems, edge devices, process historians, Kafka/MQTT-based data pipelines, asset models, cloud services, and AI-enabled industrial applications.

The role emphasizes scalable, secure platforms, platform standards, and engineering best practices across OT/IT boundaries, with Hyderabad-based operations.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of software engineering experience, with 8–10+ years in industrial automation, industrial digital platforms, mining platforms, or IT/OT integration.
• Strong hands-on experience in C# / .NET for backend services, APIs, integration services, and scalable software platforms.
• Strong architecture and design experience with hands-on technical depth.
• Strong experience with Kafka, MQTT, RabbitMQ, or similar streaming/messaging platforms.
• Exposure to AI, Generative AI, LLMs, MCP servers, LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agent SDK, Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or similar platforms will be an added advantage.

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and reliable industrial digital platforms.
• Define solution architecture, integration patterns, platform standards, and engineering best practices.
• Design platforms integrating OT systems, edge devices, PLCs, SCADA/DCS, sensors, telemetry systems, process historians, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
• Design architecture involving relational databases, time-series databases, process historians, and graph databases.
