Job summary

Dover India is seeking a seasoned Software Architect to lead end‑to‑end architectural design for our Dover Digital 3D visualization platform. The role focuses on building highly scalable, secure, and high‑performing distributed systems in a public cloud environment, with hands‑on coding and design leadership.

You will work with product and engineering teams in Bengaluru to translate business goals into robust technical solutions, mentor developers, and establish architectural guardrails,

Qualifications

• Seasoned architect with hands-on design of scalable distributed systems.
• Experience building microservices and enterprise-scale software.
• Proficiency in NodeJS, .NET/C#, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong coding in MEAN stack and ability to coach teams.
• Experience with security, performance, and data quality best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Architect end-to-end solutions for our customers. Lead design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications & services demonstrating microservices architecture.
• Experienced in building secure applications practices. Passion for hands-on implementation and design of scalable and performant applications.
• Work with product managers and technical teams in a cross-functional environment, to implement high-quality products that meet business goals.
• Candidate will be reporting to senior leaders in engineering team, assume ownership, be a self-starter, creative, and energized to technically drive the team’s mission. The candidate will operate with a high degree of “end-2-end ownership” with collaborative & result oriented approach.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering teams and support

Must Have Skills:

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and deployment of feature roadmaps to meet customer requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading or developing enterprise-scale software products. Good software engineering methodology: meaningful and deeply rooted opinions about testing and code quality, ability to make sound quality/speed trade-offs.
• Exceptional technical skills in designing microservices around databases, load balancers, event management, security features. Must have solution design experience in large-scale distributed systems, Understanding 3D implementations etc.
• Expert in NodeJS, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, GIT, RESTful APIs. Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases. Highly experienced with back-end programming languages {Ex: C#, NodeJS etc.} with integration to modern API and user interfaces
• Good to have Elastic database understanding.
• Passionate and Hands-on expertise in writing code that builds systems to scale in enterprise applications architecture. Solid knowledge of application performance improvement techniques and caching solutions.
• Able to coach developers in building solutions in MEAN stack. Demonstrate ability to build solutions in an agile way. Experience in integrating various solutions that enable digital transformation. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Design scalable, secure, and reliable solutions for data processing and application platforms.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts (HLD, LLD, integration diagrams, standards).
• Establish design principles, reusable patterns, and engineering guardrails.
• Ensure data quality, validation, transformation, and lifecycle management.
• Drive non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, availability, and resilience.
• Set standards for error handling, retry, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
• Guide technology selection and conduct proof-of-concepts when needed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on implementation, reviews, and technical decisions.
• Partner with security teams to enforce secure design, access controls, and compliance.
• Define observability standards: logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and dashboards.
• Support DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and release governance.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices across development lifecycle.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and architecture roadmap.
