Job summary

MKS Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will design, develop, test, sustain, and document embedded control software for our products, reporting to the Bangalore Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years in embedded architectures, is fluent in C/C++, and comfortable using emulators, oscilloscopes, and hardware interfaces.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded system architecture and algorithms.
• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded software development.
• Experience with debugging tools and test equipment (emulators, oscilloscopes).

Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS: We are seeking a talented Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bangalore. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, sustaining engineering, and documentation of advanced MKS products. In this role, you will report to the Bangalore Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs control algorithms for embedded controls
• Develops applications using high level programming languages
• Analyzes and determines system software test standards and procedures
• Determines hardware compatibility and/or hardware design solutions Skills You Bring:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer engineering required.
• 3+ years of experience in the development of embedded system architecture and algorithms.
• Fluency with the C and C++ programming languages
• Experience with using emulators, communication bus monitoring hardware/software, oscilloscopes, and similar tools to develop and debug products. Preferred Skills:
• Experience with EtherCat or comparable field buses.
• Experience with Python or FreeRTOS.
• Experience with the STM32 family of processors Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
• Ability to use laboratory equipment and occasionally lift and move electronic equipment or test fixtures up to 25 pounds.
• Work is performed in office and engineering laboratory environments.
• Regular use of electronic test equipment and prototype hardware for product development, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
