High School Social Studies Teacher
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated High School Social Studies Teacher with a strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to fostering student growth, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction and Planning
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum for grades IX to XII.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lectures on history, geography, political science, and economics.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods, including project‑based learning, to enhance conceptual understanding.
- Assessment and Evaluation
- Design formative and summative assessments in line with CBSE guidelines.
- Analyze student performance and provide constructive feedback to foster academic improvement.
- Classroom Management
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Address student needs and maintain discipline to ensure effective learning.
- Professional Development
- Stay updated on CBSE curriculum changes and pedagogical practices.
- Participate in workshops, training, and staff meetings to enhance professional skills.
- Parental Engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and achievements.
- Address concerns and collaborate to support student development.
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, or related fields.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching Social Studies under the CBSE curriculum at the high school level.
- Proven track record of successful classroom teaching and student engagement.
- Skills
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make topics relatable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in technology and educational tools for teaching and assessments.
- Adaptability to diverse learning needs and styles.
