Job summary

Idea Simplified is a Mumbai‑based brand consulting agency looking for a curious social media content creator with 0–2 years in social media or digital marketing. You’ll shape how brands sound, plan content, and push ideas from concept to calendar.

You’ll write hooks and captions, brief designers, and help brands grow reach on Instagram and LinkedIn. A strong writing voice and passion for trends are essential.

Responsibilities

• Build social media strategies for client brands across Instagram, LinkedIn and new platforms.

• Write hooks, captions, scripts and short‑form copy.
• Brief designers and editors, and review their work for quality and brand fit.
• Plan and manage monthly content calendars for multiple brands.
• Grow reach, engagement and community for each account.
• Present content ideas and strategies to clients.

We’re looking for someone who finds that annoying enough to want to fix it. Someone who sees a brand and immediately knows what it should sound like, what it should stop doing and what would make people care. You don’t need years of experience. You need taste, curiosity and ideas that keep coming. If creative content is always running through your head, this one is for you.

• You watch a Reel and break down the hook before you laugh at the punchline
• You have a folder of saved posts called “steal this later”
• You’d rather pitch 10 ideas and have 9 killed than play it safe with one
• You can make a “boring” brand interesting without making it cringe

What You’ll Do

• Build social media strategies for client brands across Instagram, LinkedIn and new platforms
• Define each brand’s content pillars, tone of voice and posting rhythm
• Research audiences, competitors and trends, and turn what you find into usable ideas

Content

• Plan and manage monthly content calendars for multiple brands
• Come up with concepts for Reels, carousels, static posts and campaigns
• Write hooks, captions, scripts and short-form copy
• Brief designers and editors, and review their work for quality and brand fit

Growth & Performance

• Grow reach, engagement and community for each account
• Report monthly on what worked, what didn’t and what changes next
• Test new formats and hooks, and scale what performs

Clients & Collaboration

• Present content ideas and strategies to clients
• Take feedback, revise fast and keep timelines on track
• Manage community engagement and creator or influencer collaborations

What We’re Looking For

• 0–2 years in social media, content or digital marketing (internships, college societies and personal pages count)
• A clear point of view on why some content works and most doesn’t
• Sharp writing: hooks and captions that sound human, not templated
• Working knowledge of Instagram and LinkedIn: formats, insights and how the algorithms work
• Comfort with Canva or similar, and basic video editing (CapCut, InShot or similar)
• Ability to juggle multiple brands and deadlines without dropping quality
• Strong English; Hindi is a plus

Good to Have

• A page or account you grew yourself
• Experience with Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Pages or scheduling tools
• A basic understanding of paid social and boosting
• Hands-on use of AI tools for ideation, scripting or editing
• Genuine curiosity about brands, business and pop culture
