Job summary

Job description

We are hiring a Social Media Manager in Surat who can take ownership of day-to-day social media management and community management for our client brands. This role is ideal for someone who understands social media marketing, content planning, brand communication, audience engagement, and online community management.

As part of our team, you will manage social media channels, monitor brand conversations, and respond to comments, DMs, online community discussions, and other brand mentions. You will be responsible for maintaining a consistent brand voice and creating thoughtful, engaging responses independently.

What We Want You to Do?

• Manage and maintain social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube for client brands.
• Monitor daily comments, DMs, tags, mentions, online community discussions, and relevant brand conversations.
• Respond to customer comments and messages professionally, empathetically, and in line with the brand voice.
• Handle negative comments, complaints, sensitive conversations, and reputation-related issues with maturity and appropriate judgment.
• Identify conversations that require escalation and ensure sensitive product, quality, certification, or timeline-related queries are handled appropriately.
• Manage social media content calendars, including captions, scheduling, publishing, and coordination across platforms.
• Review and publish influencer and creator content with accurate product information, descriptions, and captions.
• Track customer sentiment, recurring questions, complaints, product requests, and other valuable customer insights.
• Maintain records of social media interactions, mentions, responses, and escalations.
• Work closely with strategists, content, design, and video teams to ensure consistent and timely social media execution.
• Contribute to monthly social media and sentiment reporting and highlight key customer and community trends.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in social media management, community management, digital marketing, or a similar role.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong copywriting and social media communication skills.
• Proven ability to independently assess situations and draft appropriate responses without constant supervision.
• Experience handling customer comments, DMs, complaints, and brand conversations.
• Strong understanding of social listening, community engagement, and online brand reputation.
• Ability to communicate professionally and empathetically, especially during negative or sensitive interactions.
• Strong attention to detail and judgment when communicating on behalf of a brand.
• Experience with Reddit or online community management is a plus.
• Experience working with D2C, eCommerce, consumer, healthcare, or wellness brands is preferred.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Preferred Experience

• Candidates with experience managing social media for D2C, eCommerce, consumer, or lifestyle brands will be highly preferred.
• Experience in community management, social listening, and online brand reputation management will be a strong advantage.
• Candidates with a proven track record of independently managing brand conversations, customer engagement, and social media growth will be highly preferred.
