Job summary

Intel Corporation seeks an SoC Front-End Design Engineer to research, design, develop and test Intel SoC blocks for laptops/desktops. You will develop RTL, simulate and integrate IP blocks into full chips, driving power, performance and timing targets.

You will participate in architecture decisions, verify plans and coordinate with IP providers to ensure a smooth IP-SoC handoff in a hybrid work setting in India.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience or MS with 4+ years relevant experience.
• Front-end design and/or integration in SoC, RTL development, verification and post-silicon testing experience.
• Experience with Python, Perl or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Develops RTL, performs RTL coding and simulation for SoC designs.
• Participates in architecture and microarchitecture feature definition.
• Performs quality checks from RTL to timing/power convergence.
• Reviews verification plans and resolves failing RTL tests.
• Leads IP integration and drives IP-SoC handoff quality.

We are looking for an SoC (System on Chip) Front-End Design Engineer, ready to research, design, develop, and test lead Intel designs as we reimagine how to build SOCs at Intel and in the semiconductor industry. • Develops the logic design, Register Transfer Level (RTL) coding, and simulation for an SoC design and integrates logic of IP blocks and subsystems into a full chip SoC or discrete component design.
• Participates in the definition of architecture and microarchitecture features of the block being designed.
• Performs Quality checks in various logic design aspects ranging from RTL to timing/power convergence.
• Applies various strategies, tools, and methods to write RTL and optimize logic to qualify the design to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals as well as design integrity for physical implementation.
• Reviews the verification plan and implementation to ensure design features are verified correctly and resolves and implements corrective measures for failing RTL tests to ensure correctness of features.
• Works with IP providers to integrate and validate IPs at the SoC level.
• Drives quality assurance compliance for smooth IP-SoC handoff.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and 6+ years of experience or MS degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes a combination of any of the following: Silicon design, VLSI design, Microarchitecture definition, RTL development, Verification, Post-silicon testing. Client micro-architecture, including power management flows, and memory ordering and coherency.
• Preferred Qualifications: B.Tech: 7+ years of experience, up to 12 years; M.Tech: 5+ years of experience, up to 10 years experience in front-end design and/or integration.
• Experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages.
