We’re looking for a Snowflake FinOps Engineer to lead cost optimization and financial governance across our expanding Snowflake data platform. If you're passionate about data efficiency, performance tuning, and cost management, this role offers a chance to make a high-impact contribution to our data infrastructure.

Shift: IST shift, with flexibility for evening meetings (8–10 PM IST)

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
5+ years managing Snowflake environments, with strong focus on FinOps
Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture and best practices
Proven track record of cost optimization and platform efficiency
Strong SQL skills; experience with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
Scripting experience (Python preferred) for automation
Familiarity with FinOps principles in cloud environments
Excellent communication skills across technical and business stakeholders
Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core) are a plus
Design and implement Snowflake cost optimization strategies
Monitor and analyze Snowflake credit consumption and storage usage
Optimize performance and cost through warehouse rightsizing, query tuning, and data lifecycle management
Build cost dashboards and alerts; track anomalies and trends
Promote cost-aware engineering practices across teams
Define and enforce tagging standards for better cost attribution and governance
Collaborate with finance and procurement on budgeting and forecasting
Automate monitoring and reporting using Python or similar scripting tools
Stay up to date with new Snowflake features and pricing models
