Job summary

SP Staffing is seeking a senior Snowflake Architect to design and implement data and analytics solutions across Pan India. The candidate will lead architecture discussions, create optimized data models, integrate Snowflake with on-prem and cloud sources, and mentor cross-functional teams in a customer-facing role.

You will drive governance, security, and cost optimization while delivering POCs and accelerators to production readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience architecting data and analytics solutions.
• Deep Snowflake knowledge including warehouses, micro-partitions, data sharing and security.
• Strong SQL skills with Python scripting for automation.
• Experience with RBAC, encryption, compliance, and auditing in cloud envs.
• Ability to optimize compute/storage costs and workloads.
• SnowPro Core/Advanced certification is a plus.
• Lead architecture discussions, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Proficient in documenting data requirements and workshop delivery.
• Design optimized data models and integrate Snowflake with multiple sources.
• Establish governance, security standards, and secure data sharing across accounts.
• Tune warehouses and performance for concurrency and throughput.
• Guide architecture patterns and migration approaches; oversee production readiness.
• Conduct POCs and develop accelerators and reference architectures.
• Provide training and workshops on new technologies.

• 5+ years of overall experience in architecting and building data and analytics solutions including data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines and performance optimization.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake features such as virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, data sharing and security best practices.
• Strong SQL skills for complex queries, stored procedures, and optimization; familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
• Expertise in implementing role-based access control, encryption, compliance standards and auditing within Snowflake and cloud environments.
• Ability to optimize compute/storage costs, manage workloads, and tune queries for high performance.
• SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect certification is a strong plus.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions, mentor teams and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Conduct workshops with business and IT stakeholders to capture, document and summarize data, integration and analytics requirements for the Snowflake.
• Design optimized data models and schemas
• Integrate Snowflake with multiple data sources and platforms (on prem DBs, files, APIs, Azure/AWS services, Kafka/ETL tools) ensuring secure, reliable data ingestion and curation.
• Establish governance and security standardsRBAC, network policies, SSO/MFA, data classification, masking and secure data sharing across accounts/partners.
• Optimize performance and cost by tuning virtual warehouses, managing micro partitions/clustering, caching, query profiling and workload isolation for concurrency and throughput.
• Guide the technical team on architecture patterns and migration approaches (zero copy cloning, Time Travel, Fail safe) and oversee implementation to production readiness.
• Conduct proofs of concept and create reusable accelerators and reference architectures.
