Job summary

Tredence Inc. is seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to design scalable data warehouse architectures on Snowflake, focusing on performance, security, and governance.

You will lead data modelling, clustering, and cost-optimisation efforts aligned with business analytics needs. You will collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to implement CI/CD for Snowflake objects using Terraform or schemachange, and mentor engineers on best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering/architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture: virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, clustering, and query optimization.
• Strong experience with Snowflake security features: RBAC, masking policies, and network policies.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, ADF).
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform hosting Snowflake (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience designing data pipelines for batch and near-real-time ingestion (Snowpipe, Kafka, streams/tasks).
• Solid understanding of data governance, cost management, and performance tuning in Snowflake.
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable Snowflake data warehouse architectures, including database, schema, and role hierarchy design.
