Job summary

Rambus is hiring an exceptional SMTS logic design engineer in Bengaluru to design the world’s best Registered clocking driver products. The role involves transforming specs into architectures and implementing RTL with Verilog/SystemVerilog, while coordinating with verification and physical design teams.

We offer a hybrid work environment requiring about three days onsite per week and two days remote, with opportunities to contribute to high-speed memory interface IP and data center innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics or related field.
• 5+ years in semiconductor industry.
• Strong digital design fundamentals and HDL knowledge.
• Experience with ASIC design flows desired.
• Knowledge of high-speed protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand the spec requirements and convert into a micro architecture specification.
• Realize the RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Collaborate with verification teams to define test plans and review coverage.
• Perform pre-implementation checks like lint, CDC, RDC, and constraint validation.
• Coordinate with the physical design team on design and timing constraints.
• Participate in architecture level discussions to define specifications.
• Provide post-silicon validation support.

Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer, is seeking to hire an exceptional SMTS logic design engineer to join our MIC IDC Design team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.

As a SMTS logic design engineer you’ll play a pivotal role in designing the world’s best Registered clocking driver products.

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Understand the spec requirements and convert into a micro architecture specification.


• Realize the RTL design using Verilog/System Verilog.


• Works with verification teams in defining the test plan and reviews the test coverage.


• Does pre implementation design checks like lint, CDC, RDC, constraint validation,


• Works with physical design team in defining the design and timing constraints.


• Participate in Architecture level discussions to define the specifications.


• Post silicon validation support in bringing up parts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience with bachelor’s degree or master’s sdegree without any experience is desired.


• Strong digital design fundamentals.


• Understanding of HDLs like Verilog/System Verilog is a plus.


• Overall understanding of ASIC design flows is desirable.


• Knowledge of High speed protocols is plus.


• Good academic credentials with consistent academic performance and from a reputed institution
