Job summary

Avalon Technologies is seeking an experienced Electronics Manufacturing professional in Chennai to lead end-to-end manufacturing, optimize yields, and drive continuous improvement in a high-volume environment. The role focuses on SMT and THT processes, NPI from prototype to mass production, and rigorous adherence to IPC/APQP/PPAP standards.

You will manage process parameters, improve yields, and mentor a cross-functional team while driving Lean initiatives and automation to reduce costs.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics is required.
• Experience in Automotive/Aerospace electronics preferred.
• Exposure to Industry 4.0 / Automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage SMT processes: Printing, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow.
• Oversee THT assembly operations.
• Lead NPI from prototype to mass production (DFM, Gerber review, feasibility).
• Optimize process parameters, reflow profile, stencil & printing settings.
• Drive yield improvement & defect reduction (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Develop FMEA, Control Plan, SOPs.
• Ensure IPC, APQP, SPC, PPAP compliance.
• Lead team & collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, automation & cost reduction initiatives.
• Support audit readiness & compliance.
