Job Summary
The Power Platform & AI Specialist will provide operational support, troubleshooting and user enablement for the organisation’s Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot services. The role focuses on resolving issues, maintaining service quality and helping makers and users across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot. It will undertake limited day-to-day administration and play an active supporting role in establishing governance, service ownership, operating processes and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support: Deliver second- and third-line support; diagnose apps, flows, connectors, gateways, permissions, capacity, performance and cross-service issues; coordinate Microsoft and supplier escalations.
- Maintain services: Monitor failures, service health and recurring issues; update connections, ownership, documentation and known-error records; support remediation of obsolete or orphaned assets.
- Help establish governance: Support service owners in defining environment, DLP, security, sharing, lifecycle and support standards; gather governance evidence, identify control gaps and help embed agreed processes.
- Help establish service ownership: Assist in defining ownership roles, support boundaries, service catalogue entries, escalation paths, operational metrics, risk records, inventories, runbooks and review forums.
- Support lifecycle and assurance: Assist with solution reviews, testing, releases, deployment pipelines, rollback and retirement, checking data access, identity, resilience, ownership and supportability.
- Perform limited administration and enablement: Complete approved routine changes; provide standards, templates, documentation, advice and training; escal ate policy, licensing, capacity and tenant-level decisions.
Skill Requirements
- Enterprise experience supporting Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Platform admin centre.
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge of environments, DLP impacts, connectors, security, sharing, capacity and licensing.
- Experience supporting business-critical solutions through incident, problem, change, release and application lifecycle processes.
- Experience contributing to Power Platform governance, service-definition or operational-readiness activities, including ownership, controls, standards, documentation and escalation models.
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio support experience, covering agents, knowledge, actions, authentication, publishing and issue resolution.
- Some routine administration experience under defined approval processes, plus working knowledge of Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams and Purview dependencies.
Other Requirements
- Power Platform Centre of Excellence or enablement experience and relevant Microsoft certification.
- PowerShell, Power Platform CLI, APIs, Azure DevOps or GitHub deployment automation.
- Custom connectors, gateways, Azure integration or Power BI administration.
- Responsible-AI, privacy, information protection, retention, audit or eDiscovery knowledge.
- Experience supporting international and geographically distributed teams.
