Job summary

AdaniConneX invites a senior Mechanical Engineering professional to lead mechanical aspects of data centre projects, including planning, procurement, and technical guidance. The role requires 12-15 years of experience in data centres or heavy infrastructure projects, with strong expertise in HVAC systems, procurement, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12-15 years of data centre/ heavy infrastructure project experience.
• Proven track record leading and managing mechanical projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee procurement of mechanical equipment and materials.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and other mechanical equipment.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams.
• Work with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements and health & safety policies.

Job Purpose

Lead Projects - Mechanical manages all mechanical aspects of data centre projects, including planning, procurement, and technical guidance. This role ensures project alignment with goals, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.
• Oversee the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, maintaining quality standards and meeting project specifications.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and other mechanical equipment
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, ensuring successful execution of mechanical tasks.
• Work with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure mechanical work meets project standards.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company health and safety policies.
• Identify and implement initiatives to improve project efficiency and quality.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
