Job Description

Designation: Sr. Engineer/Assistant Manager

Department: IT Support

Location: Gandhinagar (Work from office)

Qualification: BE/B.Tech – EC/Computer Engineering or any relevant field

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with users and Internet Service Providers to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution for any trouble tickets.
  • Provide deep analysis of network infrastructure and implement IP networks to support.
  • Ensure trouble tickets from Hotline and Network Operations Center are prioritized and addressed within severity guidelines by the department.
  • Troubleshoot layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model.
  • Apply security patches as required.
  • Create technical documentation, network diagrams, inventory control documentation, and security documentation.
  • Work on trouble tickets as assigned by Tier II lead.
  • Conduct daily performance checks on CPU utilization, system logs, system errors, and others as required.
  • Perform immediate troubleshooting as the situation dictates for any and all network outages reported by users, sensors, and/or operational personnel.
  • Define network security best practice policies for both corporate and production environments.
  • Implement and maintain network security policy, standards, and procedures.
  • Deploy and maintain access lists and firewall policies for high throughput environments.
  • Build and support a network log aggregation infrastructure and support incident response initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies in voice and data networking, Internet, wireless, and data processing.
  • Remain current on emerging technologies via professional groups, trade magazines, internal and external training, independent research and study, and other available avenues.
  • Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints.
  • Prepare timely MIS reports.
  • Update and accept new challenges given by management and bring required improvements in the department.
