Job responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 (L2/L3) production support for mission-critical applications supporting treasury, trading, risk, and reporting processes.
  • Monitor application and batch health; triage failures, data breaks, and performance degradation to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead incident management activities including severity assessment, bridge coordination, stakeholder updates, and restoration to service.
  • Troubleshoot using Linux, logs, metrics, and SQL to identify root causes and implement workarounds.
  • Support batch orchestration and scheduling, including AutoSys and Airflow (including Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow), and validate upstream/downstream dependencies.
  • Partner with engineering teams to deliver permanent fixes; contribute to problem management (root cause analysis, action plans, and prevention), and execute release/change support (deployment validation, rollback readiness, and hypercare) under change governance.
  • Maintain operational excellence by supporting data pipelines and platform services (data lake and extract/transform/load patterns, Databricks), resolving data quality/process issues, creating and maintaining runbooks/standard operating procedures and operational knowledge, ensuring evidence capture and audit-ready documentation, identifying business-as-usual toil, implementing automation via Python and shell scripting to improve mean time to restore, planning and executing disaster recovery/service recovery activities (runbook validation, failover/failback testing, stakeholder coordination, and post-test remediation tracking to closure), and participating in on-call/shift coverage for global processing windows.

  • Apply disciplined incident, problem, and change management practices (aligned to Information Technology Infrastructure Library principles), including clear, calm stakeholder communication under pressure.
  • Show experience supporting data platforms and pipelines, including Databricks, data lake patterns, and extract/transform/load concepts, with the ability to resolve data quality and process issues.
  • Use scripting and automation skills (Python and shell scripting) to reduce manual effort and improve platform stability and recovery outcomes.
