Job summary

F5 is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer (SRE II) in Hyderabad to support mission-critical, cloud-native platforms on AWS. You will collaborate with development and operations to improve reliability, deployment efficiency, and production support across global environments.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in SRE/DevOps, strong AWS experience, Linux systems, and expertise in monitoring and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 2-5 years in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Production Support.
• Hands-on AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM, Route53, Auto Scaling.
• Experience with Linux, networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus).

Responsibilities

• Manage and support production services hosted on AWS.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Improve platform reliability, availability, performance, and scalability.
• Support production deployments, release activities, and hyper-care events.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Perform system health checks, capacity planning, and proactive issue remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance operational readiness and resiliency.
• Create and maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and security compliance initiatives.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment automation.

The role will support mission-critical customer-facing platforms, including cloud-native applications and services running on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS infrastructure, production operations, reliability engineering, automation, monitoring, and incident management.

You will work closely with development, platform, and operations teams to improve service reliability, operational excellence, deployment efficiency, and production support coverage across global environments.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including:

  • Route53

• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting production environments and handling critical incidents.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or SysOps Administrator certification.
• Experience supporting SaaS or customer-facing platforms.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
