Job summary

About the role:

• IMC Trading is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer in Mumbai, India.
• The role supports a highly available, low-latency production trading environment.
• You will work closely with systems engineers, performance engineers, network engineers, traders and software developers.
• The work spans production reliability, automation, networking, software engineering and performance troubleshooting.

What you'll work on:

• Translate trading requests into clear technical requirements and scalable solutions.
• Operate and maintain production trading systems with a focus on continuity and stability.
• Coordinate and plan changes to trading software and infrastructure.
• Use AI tooling to deploy and manage production changes safely.
• Build automation tools that reduce operational work and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to improvements in trading strategies and trading infrastructure.
• Support core market connectivity and work with exchanges when resolving technical issues.
• Use AI tools to accelerate incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Improve reliability and system performance based on production findings.

What we're looking for:

• Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems is required.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is expected.
• Candidates should understand networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and UDP.
• Strong Python programming and shell-scripting skills are required.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools for development, troubleshooting, automation or incident analysis is expected.
• Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, Technology or a related area.
• Experience deploying, operating and supporting high-performance production applications is important.
• Candidates should be comfortable monitoring and troubleshooting production-critical systems.
• Puppet, Prometheus and Grafana experience is useful but not mandatory.
• Strong communication, teamwork, curiosity and self-driven engineering ability are expected.
