About the role: The Executive / Senior Executive - Projects will be responsible for the end-to-end management of new kitchen site projects, existing site upgradation projects, and brand additions, from initial site selection and design to construction, equipment procurement, and successful launch. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a meticulous eye for detail and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with the desired quality.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: complete feasibility study and ensure clear sign-off between Landlord's scope of work and Rebel's scope of work; develop detailed project plans with timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and milestones for each new kitchen/internet restaurant; manage the entire project lifecycle from site due diligence and lease signing to construction, fit-out, and final handover to the operations team; ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget.
- Site Design & Layout: collaborate with design teams to create efficient, functional kitchen layouts; review and approve architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings; ensure designs comply with local health, safety, and building codes.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: identify, vet, and manage relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers; review bids and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment; oversee installation of kitchen equipment including hoods, fryers, refrigeration, and cooking lines.
- Budget & Cost Control: develop and manage project budgets, provide regular financial updates to senior management; identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timeline; manage change orders and ensure expenses are documented.
- Stakeholder Communication: serve as primary point of contact for project-related communications with internal teams and external partners; identify and mitigate project risks and address issues proactively to prevent delays.
- Quality & Compliance: conduct regular site visits to ensure construction quality; ensure new kitchens comply with local health department regulations, fire codes, and other legal requirements; oversee final inspection and sign-off before handover to Maintenance Team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Hospitality Management, or related field. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Experience: 4+ years as a Project In-Charge with at least 3 years managing setup or construction of commercial kitchens, restaurants, or cloud kitchens; strong knowledge of kitchen design principles, food service equipment, and commercial construction; experience in vendor negotiation and management; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills: excellent organizational and time management; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in project management tools; exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
- Personal Attributes: self-motivated, results-driven, detail-oriented, highly organized; ability to work independently and as part of a team; passionate about the food and technology industry.
