Job summary

AECOM in India seeks an experienced Site Engineer (Electrical) to support the Resident Engineer/Construction Manager in supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for port and marine infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in marine electrical systems, power distribution networks, lighting, hazardous area installations, and associated works at liquid jetties, terminals, and waterfront facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of marine and port infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in liquid jetties, marine terminals, ports, harbors, offshore facilities, or similar marine infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates engineering data using defined procedures.
• Performs calculations for detailed or routine engineering tasks.
• Proposes solutions for new problems using modified standard methods.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Mentors entry-level engineers.
• Works to budget and schedule with supervision.
• Independently completes primary design elements for electrical works.
• Assists Resident Engineer/Construction Manager.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Electrical) to support the Resident Engineer/Construction Manager in the supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for port and marine infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in marine electrical systems, power distribution networks, lighting systems, hazardous area installations, and electrical works associated with liquid jetties, terminals, and waterfront facilities.

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignements.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with required supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for electrical engineering works.
• Assist and Support Resident Engineer/Construction Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of marine and port infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in liquid jetties, marine terminals, ports, harbors, offshore facilities, or similar marine infrastructure projects.

Additional Information

• Proficiency in electrical systems design, knowledge of hazardous area classifications, experience in lighting and power distribution for marine facilities.
