Job summary

Freyr Energy seeks an Engineer responsible for on-field activities in project execution, including site surveys, installation and maintenance of residential rooftop solar projects. You will ensure zero-error execution across sites, coordinate with design and installation teams, and conduct quality assessments in the assigned region.

The role requires a Diploma/ITI or BE/BTech in electrical/electronics/civil/mechanical, 60%+ in academics, and at least 1 year in solar project execution with

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or BE/BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Civil or Mechanical.
• 60% or above in 10th and 12th.
• Age 28 years or below.
• Experience in C&I segment.
• 1 year of experience in ground-mount or rooftop solar plants (≥50 kW).
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and NOS.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Site surveys and design approvals; communicate site details to design team.
• Project installation; coordinate with installer and ensure adherence to processes.
• Quality assessments and maintenance for rooftop and ground-mounted plants.
• Maintenance and after-sales support; follow maintenance schedules.

Job description

Job Summary: The Engineer is responsible for all on-field activities related to project execution, including but not limited to site survey, installation & maintenance of residential rooftop solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Surveys & Design Approvals
  • Assess and communicate site details and measurements accurately to design team.
  • Coordinate & assist the design team in the final design with site layout and all other required details.
  • If required, explain the design to the client to expedite approvals.
• Project Installation
  • Communicate these details accurately with the installer and ensure that Freyr’s systems and processes are followed during installation. Where required, close monitoring installations will need to be done. Ensure project execution with zero errors across all residential project sites.
• Quality Assessments
  • Primarily responsible for all quality assessments and maintenance activities at the sites in the assigned region for both rooftop & ground-mounted plants.
  • Strict adherence to pre-set parameters at all plants as part of the quality assessment post installation of all sites.
• Maintenance & After Sales Support
  • Provide after sales service support & maintenance, as required.
  • To ensure proper maintenance by adhering to the assigned maintenance schedule.
  • Assigned service requests to be diagnosed to identify the root cause, as well as for an efficient long-term resolution. Trouble shooting, fault findings & root cause analysis.
• Reporting
  • Maintaining files and documents related to site surveys, project execution for each client and service reports after service calls.
  • To provide with up-to-date daily work status report via email to reporting manager.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma/ITI / B.E./ B. Tech. (Electrical/Electronics/ Civil/ Mechanical)
• 60% above in 10th and 12th grades
• Age 28 or below
• Candidate must have experience in the C&I segment.
• Should have 1 year of experience in executing ground-mount or rooftop solar plants with a minimum capacity of 50 kW and above.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, National Occupational standards (NOS) and standard design/construction practices
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Good oral & written communication skills.
