Emerald Clinical Trials is seeking an experienced Site Contracts Lead to join our dynamic Project Management team. You’ll drive contract development, site budget negotiations, and cross‑functional collaboration with sponsors, vendors, and clinical operations to keep trials on track.

This hands‑on role requires strong negotiation experience, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach to problem solving in a fast‑paced global CRO environment.

Qualifications

• Legal background with CRO/pharma experience in clinical trials.
• Experience in site contract and budget negotiation.
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and clinical research regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract and budget development across multiple studies.
• Main contact for sites on contract and budget matters.
• Oversee site contract negotiations aligned with sponsor expectations.
• Partner with clinical operations and project teams on timelines and changes.
• Coordinate vendor activities and site payment processes.
• Track and forecast budgets, scope changes, and milestones.
• Contribute to process improvements and training support.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Contracts Lead to join our dynamic Project Management team. This role is key to ensuring the success of our clinical trials by driving all budget and contract‑related activities with both academic and commercial clients. You’ll work cross‑functionally to oversee contract development, site negotiations, and budget management. You will also partner closely with sponsors, vendors, and clinical operations staff.

This is a hands‑on, impactful role ideal for someone with strong contract negotiation experience, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative approach to problem‑solving.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead contract and budget development across multiple studies
• Serve as the main point of contact for sites regarding all contract and budget matters
• Oversee site contract negotiations and ensure alignment with sponsor expectations
• Partner with clinical operations and project teams to manage timelines, deliverables, and change requests
• Coordinate project‑specific vendor activities and site payment processes
• Track and forecast project budgets, scope changes, and key milestones
• Contribute to internal process improvements and support training activities
• Ensure compliance with ICH‑GCP, SOPs, and all relevant regulatory guidelines

About You

• Qualified lawyer is preferred
• Prior experience in a CRO, pharma, or academic setting supporting clinical trials
• Strong background in site contract and budget negotiation
• Mandarin is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing virtual teams
• Good understanding of ICH‑GCP and clinical research regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinical trial management tools
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to fast‑paced environments
