As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network systems across Layer 2/3 switching, wireless networks, and firewall technologies. You’ll work hands-on with Alcatel-Lucent networking equipment, Sophos firewalls, and IP telephony systems to maintain a robust and secure IT environment. This is a high-impact role that requires strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and a deep understanding of network security protocols and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage Layer 2 & Layer 3 network infrastructure (VLANs, STP, routing protocols)
• Deploy and optimize wireless access points for enterprise environments
• Administer and troubleshoot Alcatel-Lucent networking equipment
• Configure and manage Sophos firewalls and security policies
• Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds or PRTG
• Support and maintain IP telephony systems (preferably Alcatel)
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve network incidents efficiently
• Maintain accurate documentation and network diagrams
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices

Required Qualifications & Skills
