Job summary

CAE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and correct complex problems on training devices and perform preventive maintenance on simulators and related systems. You will use the maintenance management system to log activities and provide technical training to other technicians.

As a subject matter expert in at least one discipline, you will support engineering teams, assist with modifications, hardware upgrades, and ensure compliance with safety and environment rules while delivering

Qualifications

• Diagnose and correct complex problems on training devices.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on simulators and associated systems.
• Utilize Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities.
• Provide technical training for other technicians.
• Perform daily readiness checks on designated simulators.
• Support technical teams with re-qualification of all simulators.
• Function as a Subject Matter Expert on at least 1 discipline.
• Supervise Qualification Test Guides and supply documentation as required by the Authority.
• Assist Engineering with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
• Perform refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Pursue knowledge to enhance ability as a technical expert.
• Perform software changes to correct problems on simulators.
• Coordinate maintenance activities within an assigned group or project.
• Assist Group Lead / Maintenance Planner & Controller in day-to-day operations.
• Learn and comply with CAE Compliance Management System.
• Provide customer service support and address customer needs promptly.
• Perform logistics duties, including parts handling, repair, testing/validation.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain simulators.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Support the technical services group as required.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environment rules and regulations.
