Job summary

Embitel Technologies seeks an experienced ADAS test engineer to drive test strategy for safety-critical software. You will design, implement and execute SIL/SL tests, guide a team of test engineers, and collaborate across multi-domain automotive systems, leveraging Python tooling, CarMaker/IPG tools and CI/CD pipelines.

A strong grasp of ASPICE and ISO 26262 is essential, along with GIT and Linux command-line proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with SWE.4, SWE.6, SYS.5 testing in automotive/ADAS.
• Proficient in Python for test tooling and automation.
• 5+ years in test framework development (Python) in automotive/ADAS.
• Testing exposure in Driving, Active Safety, Traffic Sign recognition.
• Understanding of Vehicle Dynamics.
• Scenario-based testing using Scenario/VTD/IPG CarMaker.
• Expertise in test automation across unit/functional/integration/qualification tests.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASPICE process.
• Working with SIL models and test framework updates.
• Proficient with CarMaker or similar road-file generation tools.
• Familiarity with test evaluation logging.
• Experience with GIT for version control.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Docker, Jenkins).
• Knowledge in AI/ML validation for perception in ADAS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to Requirements review, Test specification, implementation, execution and analysis of functional, and system-level test cases for ADAS Driving functionalities, ensuring alignment with ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards.
• Understand detailed design documentation/interface architectures and create corresponding test specifications (SWE.4-SYS.5) and create test cases using pythonbased internal tooling
• Analyze system and software requirements, including interface specifications, to derive functional and scenario-based test cases (SWE.6).

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in ECE, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in SWE.4,SWE.6,SYS.5 testing with a strong focus on ADAS- L2,L2+,L3 software & V&V
• Proficient in Python

• Good understanding of Vehicle Dynamics

• Proven expertise in test automation and verification techniques across various test levels (unit, functional, integration and qualification testing).
• Solid understanding of Functional Safety standards, particularly ISO 26262 and ASPICE process knowledge.
• Skilled in working with SIL models and test framework updates, including scenario generator and model integration.
• Proficient with CarMaker or similar tools for generating road files, setting up test environments, and integrating with 3rd party tools
• Familiarity with test evaluation logging
• Experienced with GIT for version control, test script management, and collaboration workflows.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts is considered a plus for future enhancements in test automation and analytics.
