Job Title: Network Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The Network SME will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure solutions. They will serve as the go-to expert for all network-related matters and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our network systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with switching, routing, load balancing, firewall configuration, and network security principles. They should possess in-depth knowledge of WAN, LAN, network architecture, and IP schema, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement network architecture solutions, including switching, routing, load balancing, and network security components.
2. Deploy and configure load balances to optimise network performance and ensure high availability of applications and services.
3. Configure and manage firewall devices, including NAT (Network Address Translation), routing, and firewall rules.
4. Implement and maintain NTP (Network Time Protocol) and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) services.
5. Resolve technical incidents at L1, L2, and L3 levels, leveraging extensive hands-on experience and knowledge.
6. Implement and manage network security measures, including encryption and authentication services, at the L2 level.
7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of WAN, LAN, and network architecture, and provide recommendations for improvements.
8. Design and implement network zoning and IP schema to ensure efficient and secure network segmentation.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements for new projects and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
10. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in the field of networking.
11. Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.
2. Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in resolving technical incidents at L1, L2, and L3 levels.
3. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with switching and routing protocols.
4. Proficiency in deploying and managing load balancers to ensure optimal application performance.
5. L2-level competency in firewall configuration, NAT, routing, and firewall rules.
6. Hands-on experience in configuring and managing NTP and DHCP services.
7. In-depth understanding of network security principles, encryption, and authentication services.
8. Thorough knowledge of WAN, LAN, and network architecture.
9. Familiarity with different network zones and IP schema for efficient network segmentation.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex network issues.
11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
13. Strong documentation skills to create network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.

Salary: ₹30,000.00 – ₹60,000.00 per month
