What this role is all about

Reporting to the BU Head, the Regional Manager (RM) of Eastern Region has full business & leadership responsibility and sets and executes the strategy to achieve profitable growth across the entire portfolio. The ideal candidate is able to inspire the team, connect easily and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and be a strong change agent. The incumbent will report to the head of SI RSS-APAC India. The position will be located in Kolkata, India.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete P&L responsibility for the Region.
  2. Grow and sustain the Order Value (OV) & Turn Over (TO) targets for Region for SI RSS-APAC.
  3. Understand the RSS-APAC portfolio, market, competition, digitalization space and customer pain-points in depth.
  4. Update and implement the go-to-market strategy for the next 5 years.
  5. Work collaboratively with Regions, Solutions and Service Sales, Digital Buildings, Energy performance business among other Business Units in Siemens and Regional Headquarters, to ensure smooth and effective customer engagement.
  6. Leads, motivates and develops a leadership team capable of delivering perfection and highest performance in all functions driving employee engagement and efficiency; crafts a culture of openness and trust.
  7. Ensures key performance metrics are on track and achieved including order intake, revenue, profit, cash flow, SG&A, efficiency.
  8. Drives customer orientation across the organization and delivers on commitments.
  9. Accelerates profitable growth along all channels by leveraging best practices and go-to-market strategies from within SI RSS-APAC and SI India.
  10. Ensures excellent collaboration with other regional businesses and builds strong and trustful partnerships across the organization.
  11. Drives agility and creative solutions to win in changing markets and to build future-proof business models.
  12. Ensures business continuity amidst changing workforce dynamics.
  13. Develop the strategic business plan and lead the deployment of operational execution plan for SI RSS-APAC Business of assigned Region.
  14. Ensure Bid Selection, risk assessment and Submission on target projects with strong success.
  15. Ensure Project Execution as per budgets and time-constraints in full compliance to Guidelines.
  16. Follow all internal, external processes and coordination with stakeholders for all business deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Strong leadership skills in leading people, business acumen in gaining market share, positive relationship leadership skills in building trust with key clients, strong operational excellence skills in meeting Top and Bottom-Line Targets.
  2. Bachelor’s degree (or educational equivalent); MBA preferred.
  3. At least 15+ years’ experience in Building technologies, or relevant industry experience with at least 5 years of Proven track record managing P&L and successful business performance.
  4. Experience leading large, distributed teams and driving a high-performance culture.
  5. Proven ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment and a matrix organization.
  6. Demonstrated ability to drive the organization to think and act in ways that improve efficiency while encouraging new technologies and how work is done.
  7. Excitement and drive for change while being empathetic to a successful organization’s culture.
  8. Lead and proactively drive change and deliver compelling messages to secure commitment and buy-in.
  9. Inspire and empower others to deliver results, driven by impact and foster a winning spirit.
  10. Effective communication, presentation and networking skills up to executive level.
  11. Ability to navigate global, highly matrixed organizations including processes and shaping the culture.
  12. Value and promote a diverse workforce while ensuring employee engagement across all levels.
  13. Ability to work with different stakeholders in Smart infra, internal and external with sound Knowledge of competition, market and customer behavior in the building industry.
