Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Instrumentation Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in ELV systems testing, commissioning, and handover to clients.
  • Strong technical, planning, coordination, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and ICT teams to integrate ELV systems.
  • Monitor site progress, manage manpower and resources, conduct inspections and resolve issues.
  • Oversee cable containment, pulling, equipment installation, network rack work, termination and labeling.
  • Perform testing and commissioning activities and maintain documentation (records, FAT/SAT, as-built drawings).
  • Produce daily/weekly/monthly progress reports in adherence to quality and HSE standards.

Job description

The Site Engineer - ELV is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all Extra Low Voltage (ELV) system installation activities in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The role includes managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems such as Structured Cabling Systems (SCS), Fiber Optic Networks, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Public Address Systems, Intercom Systems, Data Networks, Audio-Visual Systems, Building Management System (BMS) interfaces, and other low-voltage communication and security systems. The engineer shall review shop drawings, technical submittals, method statements, material specifications, and installation procedures to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and other disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and ICT teams to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems. The engineer shall monitor site progress, manage manpower and resources, conduct inspections, verify installation quality, and resolve technical issues to ensure timely project completion. Additional duties include overseeing cable containment systems, cable pulling activities, equipment installation, network rack installations, termination works, labeling, testing, and commissioning activities. The Site Engineer shall maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, inspection records, testing documentation, and as-built drawings while ensuring strict compliance with quality and HSE requirements.

The role also involves coordinating system integration, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and final commissioning activities. Experience in Data Centre, Mission Critical Facilities, Commercial Buildings, Industrial, Healthcare, or Infrastructure Projects is preferred. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, fiber optic networks, security systems, networking fundamentals, testing and commissioning procedures, and relevant standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC, NEC, and project-specific requirements. A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Instrumentation Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience is required. Strong technical, planning, coordination, troubleshooting, and communication skills are essential for successful project execution and reliable ELV system performance.
