Job summary

Axiscades Engineering Technologies in Hyderabad invites an experienced Team Lead Should Costing & Cost Engineering to lead cost modeling across Sheet Metal, Machining, Castings and assemblies. You will develop part- and assembly-level should-cost models, perform supplier analysis, support RFQ/RFPs, and drive cost-reduction initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Should Costing and Cost Engineering within manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of VAVE (Value Engineering) and process planning.
• Experience with BOM, RFQ/RFP analysis and cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Cost Engineers and manage multiple should-costing projects.
• Develop part-level and assembly-level should-cost models.
• Perform cost analysis for sheet metal, fabrication, machining, castings and mechanical assemblies.
• Analyze engineering drawings, BOMs and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop optimal manufacturing process routes and work-center sequences.
• Calculate raw material, labor, machine, tooling, overhead, finishing and assembly costs.
• Calculate cycle times and Machine Hourly Rates (MHR).
• Conduct VAVE and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Perform teardown analysis and benchmarking against best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement and PM teams to support RFQ/RFP and budgeting.

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead Should Costing & Cost Engineering with strong expertise in manufacturing processes, cost estimation, VAVE, process planning, and supplier cost analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong combination of hands‑on manufacturing experience and cost‑engineering expertise, with the ability to develop detailed should‑cost models and provide cost‑reduction and sourcing recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Cost Engineers and manage multiple should‑costing projects.
