Job summary

Cyient Limited is seeking a seasoned Should Costing specialist with 6-12 years of experience to lead cost modeling for manufacturing projects in India. You will interpret complex drawings, apply DFMA and cost estimation tools, and drive cost optimization across processes and assemblies.

The role requires strong communication, MS Office proficiency, and deep knowledge of cost methodologies and industrial engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 6-12 yrs overall experience in Should costing
• 4 yrs min experience in manufacturing
• Excellent knowledge of GD&T
• Excellent process planning knowledge
• Ability to interpret part and assembly drawings
• Experience with Should Cost tools like DFMA, Costimator, aPriori
• Deep knowledge of product costing methodology and manufacturing engineering practices
• Excellent oral and written communication
• MS Office proficiency
• Lead and own the preparation of should cost models as per customer requirements
• Ensure thorough checking and review of documents/reports before delivering to customer
• Attend and close actions from project review meetings

Responsibilities

• Lead and build should cost models with customer requirements in mind
• Apply DFMA, Costimator, aPriori to generate accurate cost estimates
• Review drawings and manufacturing processes for cost optimization
• Prepare reports and present findings in project reviews
• Coordinate with teams to ensure timely deliverables and action closure

• Overall experience of 6-12 yrs in Shouldcosting
• 4yrs. min experience in manufacturing.
• Excellent Knowledge of GD&T.
• Should have excellent Process planning knowledge
• Ability to interpret part drawings and assembly drawings.
• Execution and report generation Knowledge of Should Cost tools like DFMA,Costimator, aPriori etc
• In depth knowledge of Product Costing Methodology, Industrial engineering practices,Manufacturing Engineering practices, Manufacturing processes, Work-centers, Tooling etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• MS Office and computer proficiency.
• Lead & own the process of preparation of should cost model with due consideration for applicable Standards per customer requirements
• Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents / reports before deliver to customer
• Attend and close actions from project review meetings.
