Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Daman, India is seeking a Shift Leader – Warehouse to oversee inbound/outbound, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance in a fast-paced facility.

You will supervise warehouse staff, ensure SAP-based stock records, cycle counts, and proper storage of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, applying FIFO/FEFO as required.

The role requires 8–10 years in chemical, food processing, or pharma warehousing, strong leadership, and adherence to GMP guidelines and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in chemical, food processing or pharmaceutical warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of Safety, GMP guidelines and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: ensure accurate stock records, cycle counts, and 100% compliance.
• Operational Efficiency: plan inbound/outbound shipments and optimize storage layout.
• Team Management: supervise staff, assign tasks, and train on SOPs and safety.
• Safety & Quality: enforce safety protocols and maintain GMP-compliant warehouse.

Job Title – Shift leader-Warehouse

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Ensure accurate stock records and timely system updates (SAP).
• Cycle count processing and monitoring to achieve 100% compliance.
• Product revalidation and Scrap disposal on time.

Operational Efficiency:

• Planning and monitoring of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Supervise receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Warehouse space utilization and optimize storage layout.
• Coordinate with production and procurement teams for material availability.
• FIFO/FEFO principles for material handling.
• To Prepare training calendar and provide on job training to team.

Team Management:

• Supervise warehouse staff and assign daily tasks.
• Train team members on SOPs, safety, and compliance requirements.

Safety & Quality:

• Ensure proper handling and storage conditions for temperature-sensitive products.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
• Utilize leadership skills to promote safety awareness, quality, punctuality and non-conformance KPIs.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure adherence to GMP and company SOPs.
• Maintain proper documentation for material movement, batch records, and regulatory audits.
• Internal and external audits preparations and support.

You Bring

• Any Graduate, 8–10 years of experience in Chemical, Food processing or pharmaceutical warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of Safety, GMP guidelines and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
