Job summary

JLL in Gurugram is seeking a Shift Engineer to manage 24/7 facility operations and lead shift teams. You will monitor plant processes via DCS and control devices, ensuring reliable electrical and mechanical systems performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong operational knowledge, leadership ability, and hands-on experience with plant operations and facility management systems. On-site role in Gurugram, 48 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Essential: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Mechanical Engineering.
• OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient 24/7 facility operations and lead shift operations teams.
• Operate and monitor plant processes via DCS and control devices; ensure electrical and mechanical systems performance.
• Direct and coordinate Plant Operators during assigned shifts; communicate with Shift Charge Engineers across shifts.
• Complete and verify shift round checklists and routine testing schedules; maintain changeover documentation; identify equipment issues.
• Support budget planning and expenditure control for shift operations and contribute to efficiency improvements.

Brief Job Description

Position Overview

Responsible for overseeing safe and efficient 24/7 facility operations, managing plant systems through control interfaces, and leading shift operations teams to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Operate and monitor plant processes via Distributive Control System (DCS) and control devices
• Ensure optimal electrical distribution and mechanical systems performance
• Manage shift staffing to maintain safe facility operations

Team Leadership

• Direct and coordinate Plant Operators during assigned shifts
• Communicate effectively with Shift Charge Engineers across all shifts
• Ensure team compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures

Quality & Compliance

• Complete and verify shift round checklists and routine testing schedules (daily/weekly/monthly)
• Maintain equipment changeover documentation
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate with Plant Maintenance Team

Planning & Control

• Support budget planning and expenditure control for shift operations
• Contribute to operational efficiency improvements

Educational Requirements

Essential: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Mechanical Engineering

OR

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with relevant experience

Ideal Candidate
