Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST‑J), R. S. Pura, Jammu, is inviting applications for the following temporary positions under the ICMR‑NIV Project "Molecular Epidemiology, Evolutionary Dynamics and Stability of Rotavirus at Human‑Animal‑Environment Interface". The employment is contractual and will be governed by ICMR‑NIV/ SKUAST‑J guidelines. Positions are co‑terminus with the project and are purely time‑bound; there is no right to regularisation or absorption.

Positions

• Project Technical Support – III (01 post)
  Place: Division of Veterinary Microbiology & Immunology, FVSc & A H, R S Pura, Jammu
  Salary: Rs. 28,000/- (consolidated) plus HRA as per ICMR norms
  Tenure: Three years or up to project completion
  Essential Qualifications:
  • Three‑years graduate degree in Life Sciences (Microbiology, Virology, Biotechnology) + three years post‑qualification experience
  • OR PG in relevant subject/field (Microbiology/Virology/Biotechnology)
  • Age up to 35 years
  Desirable Expertise: Experience with basic virology, molecular biology, immunology techniques such as ELISA, PCR, bioinformatics
• Project Technical Support – I (01 post)
  Place: Division of Veterinary Microbiology & Immunology, FVSc & A H, R S Pura, Jammu
  Salary: Rs. 18,000/- (consolidated) plus HRA as per ICMR norms
  Tenure: Three years or up to project completion
  Essential Qualifications:
  • 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT or equivalent) + two years experience
  • OR Three‑years graduate degree in relevant subject/field + one year experience
  • Age up to 28 years
  Desirable Expertise: Experience in microbial/sterilization of equipment and other microbiology/biotechnology techniques
• Project Nurse – I (01 post)
  Place: Department of Microbiology, GMC Jammu
  Salary: Rs. 18,000/- (consolidated) plus HRA as per ICMR norms
  Tenure: Three years or up to project completion
  Essential Qualifications: Two‑years Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM) course
  Age up to 25 years

Terms and Conditions

The posts are temporary and contractual in nature, and the selected candidates will have no legal right to claim regularisation, appointment by absorption, or any other contractual engagement against a regular post. The University may withdraw the advertised post at any stage. Candidates currently employed must furnish a No‑Objection Certificate from their present employer. No TA/DA will be admissible for the interview. Calls for interview will be through email/phone and may be conducted online or in person. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed.
