Job summary

EY in India is seeking a ServiceNow Platform Engineer – Assistant Director to design, implement, and govern the ServiceNow platform, delivering scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions that meet business requirements. You will administer the platform across development, test, and production, configure ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, and custom modules, and design workflows, integrations, and automation.

ServiceNow Platform Engineer – Assistant Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ServiceNow Platform Engineer to support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow administration, configuration, development, integrations, and platform governance, ensuring scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Administration

• Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform across development, test, and production environments.
• Configure and support platform modules including ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, SPM,Employee Center, custom applications and domain separation.
• Ensure platform stability, performance, availability, and security.
• Monitor system health and proactively resolve platform issues.

Development & Configuration

• Design and develop workflows, Flow Designer solutions, catalog items, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and UI actions.
• Develop and maintain Script Includes, REST/SOAP integrations, and custom applications where required.
• Hands‑on experience in ServiceNow AI solutions.
• Implement ServiceNow best practices while minimizing customization.
• Support deployment activities using Update Sets and CI/CD pipelines.

Integrations

• Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems using REST APIs, Integration Hub, MID Servers, and Import Sets.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and optimize data synchronization processes.
• Work with third‑party vendors and internal teams to support system integrations.

Governance & Security

• Implement role‑based access controls (RBAC), ACLs, and security best practices.
• Support platform governance processes, architecture reviews, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow and organizational standards.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve automation, user experience, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate new ServiceNow features and recommend adoption strategies.
• Participate in platform upgrade planning, testing, and remediation activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and development teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with the ServiceNow platform.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and IT Service Management concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Certified Implementation Specialist certifications (ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, CSM, etc.).
• Experience working in large enterprise or global environments.
