Vestas is seeking skilled service technicians for wind turbine maintenance across Tamil Nadu, with on-site field duties and on-call breakdown support. The role requires 3–6 years of wind turbine experience, strong English/Tamil communication, and ability to travel.

Applicants should be prepared for demanding physical work and climbing 60–150 meters. Qualification includes a diploma/degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
• Minimum 3–6 years working experience in Wind Turbine Generator.
• Good communication in English / Tamil; Hindi is an added advantage.
• Willingness to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write in English.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders 60–150 meters in height.
• Ability to participate in all training courses, including high-angle rescue.
• Able to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions.
• Comfortable working remotely with limited supervisory interaction.
• Flexible as the position requires travelling and unplanned overtime may occur.

Responsabilités

• Follow safety culture and standards as per company requirements.
• Attend to breakdown maintenance on call; ensure WTG and related equipment are maintained.
• Document work indicating spare consumption and actions with timelines.
• Report abnormalities and take corrective action with Supervisors.
• Keep manuals, checklists, and service bulletins updated for WTG equipment.
• Ensure tools, equipment and spare parts are safeguarded.
• Comply with HSE/ISO and other statutory requirements.
• Assist sub-assembly of WTG components at factory when required.
• Rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic breakdowns of wind turbines.
• Analyze turbine performance and prepare performance reports.
• Blade, Gearbox, Generator, and main shaft replacements are additional advantages.
• Unit substation maintenance experience is advantageous.
• SAP S/4HANA knowledge is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Word, and Power BI is beneficial.

Customer Service Department handles Post-sales Service Operations to meet the contractual obligations with customers

Responsibilities

• Follow the high level of safety culture and standards as per company requirements
• Attend to break down maintenance on call; ensure WTG's and related equipment's are maintained in neat and technically acceptable conditions according to standard engineeringpractices
• Document the work done indicating consumption of spares/ consumables, list further actions along with targeted completion dates
• Report abnormalities and take corrective action in consultation with the Supervisors
• Keep up to date with all operating/ maintenance manuals, checklists, service bulletins, etc. applicable to the WTG and associated equipment, carry out servicing activities as per thelatest certified checklists, manuals and service bulletins
• Ensure safety and care of all tools, tackles, measuring instruments and spare parts in custody
• Comply with all HSE / ISO & all other statutory requirements
• Ensure office and guest house are maintained in good condition and monitor the performance of security personnel/ operators, report non-compliances
• Assist in the sub-assembly of WTG components at the factory premises whenever required
• Rectification of Mechanical, Electrical and hydraulic Break Downs of the Wind Turbines
• Analyzing the performance of the turbines and Preparing performance Reports
• Major work like Blade, Gearbox, Generator and main shaft replacement added advantage
• Experience in Unit substation maintenance and rectification of Unit sub-station related breakdown added advantage
• Knowledge in SAP S/4HANA added advantage
• Knowledge in basics of Computer, MS-Excel, MS-Word and Power BI
