Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Sr. Service Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing) to build a pan-India service and aftermarket team, based in Mumbai Thane.

The role involves regional aftersales support, commissioning of HVAC, fire, and plumbing pumps, and driving spare parts, AMC, upgrades, and retrofit opportunities across customers. The candidate should have a BE or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 6–10 years of field experience, strong communication with engineering teams, and a proven ability

Qualifications

• BE / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 6–10 years of field experience in HVAC and Plumbing pumps.
• Experience handling HVAC & Plumbing pumps, pressure boosters, and Fire pumps systems independently.
• Must have good computer skills and ability to communicate with engineering teams.
• Ability to identify root cause analysis technically and sustain field activity for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Single point of contact for regional customers on aftersales.
• Provide operation & maintenance support for fire pumps.
• Carry out erection and commissioning activities for HVAC/FIRE/Plumbing pumps.
• Troubleshoot spare parts and AMC business.
• Handle upgrades and retrofit projects.
• Perform energy audit activities relevant to pumping systems.
• Support FMEA processes and field improvement initiatives.

Part 1. Describe the Position

To build a service and aftermarket team across pan India represented in all regions for providing basic support and faster response time.

Summary

Part 2. Education Qualification

BE / Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 6-10 years of field experience

Key technical skills and knowledge;

Experience in handling HVAC & Plumbing pumps, pressure booster, Fire pumps systems independently

Computer competency

Ability to handle customer complaints independently

Ability to communicate fluently with our own engineering and other Value center

Ability to identify root cause analysis technically

Stamina and Adaptability

Should be able to sustain field activity for a prolonged period

Required Knowledge

Pump hydraulics (Basic)

Plant operation & process

Basic knowledge of operation & maintenance of Fire /Plumbing /HVAC pumps.
