Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Durgapur is seeking an experienced field service engineer for mining equipment. You will lead maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning of CE & ME machines, overseeing a large service team to maximise machine availability. Proficiency in SAP and Komatsu ICT tools is expected.

The role focuses on parts planning, cost control, safety, and on-time reporting. Minimum 8 years in mining service required; location: Durgapur, India.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8-15 years in mining equipment service.
• Industry: Mining with hydraulic excavators, dumpers, graders and cranes.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting and leadership of a large service team.
• Erection, commissioning and machine condition monitoring.
• Spare parts planning and cost control; safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and service for CE/ME machines; supervise a large team.
• Erection and commissioning of new machines; monitor conditions.
• Plan parts inventory and manage FMC team; ensure high availability.
• Attend daily checks, service and breakdown calls; document reports.
• Record daily checks and incident reports; use SAP and Komatsu ICT tools.
• Coordinate with shift in charge; lead skilled technicians under team lease.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Experience: 8-15 years

Industry:Mining Industry(Hydraulic Excavators, Dumpers, Graders, Cranes)

• Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Exposure to Product Service support on CE & ME Machines, Leading a big team
• Erection and commissioning of new machines, machine condition monitoring
• Machine availability & Spare parts planning, managing a FMC team
• Attend to daily checks, mandatory service and break down calls
• Maintain record of daily checks, daily reporting of m/c working & breakdown
• Carry out Preventative Maintenance checks & plan for parts /components for repairs
• Ensure the machine is working condition with minimum breakdown
• Reporting of service reports in SAP & also on Komatsu ICT tools
• Coordinate with shift in charge and able to lead the skilled /semiskilled technicians under Team lease
