Job summary

Vivanti in Bengaluru's Global Delivery Center is seeking a Senior Consultant - Service Delivery who combines deep cloud/data engineering with operational leadership. You own how multiple engagements run, mentor engineers, and drive improvements across platforms and client relationships.

You’ll split time between hands-on platform work and shaping how the team collaborates, with a strong emphasis on ITIL/Agile practices, cost awareness, and delivering reliable, high-impact service outcomes for

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud and data environments, with a meaningful portion in managed services or operational delivery.
• Hands-on depth in at least one major platform: Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks.
• Experience managing complex client relationships, including difficult conversations.
• Practical working knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change) and Agile.
• Commercial exposure: SOW management, scope negotiation, capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Review cloud and data architectures; lead technical triage on incidents.
• Hands-on with automation, scripting, and platform operations; write runbooks.
• Conduct FinOps reviews: cost anomaly analysis and licence audits.
• Stress-test transition readiness and define gates for BAU.
• Own SLA performance and RAID log across client engagements.
• Lead sprint retrospectives and daily standups; maintain data-driven reviews.
• Prepare executive service review packs; ensure clarity and impact.
• Protect BAU capacity from scope creep; mentor and manage engineers.
• Navigate commercial structures: fixed retainers, capacity tokens, NTE caps.
• Build trusted CXO-level relationships and run effective EBRs.

At Vivanti, our Senior Consultant - Service Delivery isn't a manager who used to be technical. It's an engineer who chose to stay technical while taking on something harder: owning the full picture of how a complex managed service actually runs.

You'll spend roughly a third of your time with your hands on the platform - reviewing architectures, debugging incidents, stress-testing automation, calling out what the monitoring isn't catching. The rest of your time, you're the person who decides how the team works, how the client relationship is held together, and how the service gets better every sprint.

Vivanti works with some of Australia's largest enterprises across Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, GCP and beyond. You'll run the managed services engine for clients like these: multiple engagements simultaneously, serious technical depth required, high stakes when things go wrong.

What You’ll Do

In the platform (30-40% of your time):

• Reviewing cloud and data architectures to catch what the team missed
• Leading technical triage on P1 incidents - you're in the bridge call and you know what questions to ask
• Hands-on with automation, scripting, and platform operations; you're not above writing the runbook yourself
• FinOps reviews: cost anomaly analysis, licence audits, resource right-sizing - technical work with a commercial lens
• Stress-testing transition readiness: you define the gates before anything goes into BAU

Running the service (the other 60%):

• Owning SLA performance and the RAID log across multiple client engagements
• Leading sprint retrospectives and daily standups - you know what good agile looks like from having worked in it
• Writing executive service review packs that are worth reading: crisp, opinionated, built on real data
• Managing the Run/Change/Project boundary - protecting BAU capacity from scope creep is a weekly fight
• Mentoring and performance-managing a team of engineers; you've been one, so you know what good looks like
• Navigating commercial structures: fixed retainers, capacity tokens, NTE caps - you understand these aren't just finance concepts

With clients:

• Building trusted relationships with CXO and VP-level stakeholders - earned through technical credibility, not just seniority
• De-escalating tense situations with empathy and precision, not corporate deflection
• Running EBRs that generate confidence rather than just consuming an hour

What We’re Looking For

You came up through the technical side - cloud engineering, data engineering, platform/DevOps - and at some point you started solving problems that weren't purely technical. You got good at it. Now you want a role that's explicitly built around that combination.

Specifically:

• 8+ years in cloud and data environments, with a meaningful portion in managed services or operational delivery
• Hands-on depth in at least one major platform: Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks - you can read infrastructure and diagnose at the code/config level, not just the dashboard level
• Experience managing complex client relationships, including conversations that got difficult
• Practical working knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change) and Agile - not just as frameworks you've heard of, but as operating practices you've run
• Commercial exposure: SOW management, scope negotiation, capacity planning - you've had these conversations and held your ground
• The kind of judgment that only comes from having been in a P1 at 2am and having to make calls with incomplete information

You don't need to have "Service Delivery Manager" in a previous title. If your background is senior data or cloud engineering and you've been doing the ops, governance, and client work alongside the builds - we want to talk.
