Job description

We are looking for a results-driven SEO Executive who is genuinely interested in search, automation, and analytics. You will drive organic growth for UK and international client accounts, improve their visibility across search engines, and use AI tools to make our SEO processes faster and sharper. This is not a routine SEO position. You will be working on the next phase of search, including Google AI Overviews, Bing AI, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, alongside traditional rankings.

Please note: this role is AI-assisted, not AI-dependent. Your SEO fundamentals must be strong enough that you can run an audit, build a keyword map, or diagnose a traffic drop on your own, and explain exactly why you did what you did. AI is how you do that work faster and at a larger scale; it is not how you form your judgement. Candidates who simply forward AI output without checking it will not be the right fit here.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed SEO audits, keyword research, and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities, and justify every recommendation with data and clear reasoning.
• Plan and execute on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies for multiple UK and international client accounts.
• Take full ownership of assigned accounts and run them end to end, from planning and execution through to reporting and client updates, while collaborating with the content, design, and development teams on larger projects.
• Use tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics to track and improve performance. Our tool stack is chosen per project, so you should be able to pick up new tools quickly.
• Build, document, and maintain AI-powered automations for repetitive daily tasks, such as meta description generation, backlink tracking, brand-mention alerts, rank and index monitoring, internal linking checks, and client reporting.
• Review and audit every AI-generated output before it goes live, checking factual accuracy, hallucinated data, search intent match, tone, duplication, and E-E-A-T compliance. You own the output, not the tool.
• Identify manual, repetitive tasks within your own workflow and progressively automate them, reducing the hours they consume month on month.
• Write, test, and refine prompts, and maintain a reusable prompt and SOP library that the wider team can use.
• Monitor AI search visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Bing AI, and Perplexity, and plan optimization strategies for each.
• Work with the content and development teams to ensure SEO-friendly site structure, schema markup, and page speed improvements.
• Produce monthly reports that connect traffic, keyword growth, and rankings to real business outcomes such as enquiries and leads, not vanity metrics.
• Stay updated with SEO and AI developments, Google algorithm updates, and new automation opportunities.
