Job summary

SiteMinder in India is seeking a Senior Zuora Developer to lead billing and integration initiatives across Zuora, Salesforce and Workday. You will design and implement complex Zuora configurations, APIs and CPQ workflows while collaborating with Billing operations and internal engineering teams.

You should be an expert in Zuora Billing and CPQ, with strong data modeling, API experience, and a track record of delivering scalable solutions and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Understand Zuora configurations including Product, Pricing, Subscriptions, and Billing runs.
• Design, develop, and maintain Zuora customisations using ZOQL and APIs.
• Build reusable workflows, data queries, and automation for billing operations.
• Collaborate with Salesforce and Workday developers and Siteminder Engineering.
• Stay up-to-date on Zuora features and identify improvement opportunities.
• Own sandboxes, guide L1 team, resolve incidents within SLA.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

About The Senior Zuora Developer Role…

We are looking for a technical geek and an awesome collaborator who will not only design and build solutions in Zuora platform but will also be jointly responsible for technical thought leadership and work collaboratively with Billing operations functions, Salesforce developers and other internal Engineering teams.

The Senior Zuora Developer is an important role in the team who is expected to be an expert in Billing (Product Catalog, Order Management, Rating & Billing, Global Payments, Reporting, Platform and Workflows) and Zuora CPQ modules. It is 100% a hands-on role.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of data models, platform functionalities, API, ZOQL and experience integrating with external systems (Salesforce, Workday and internal systems).

What You’ll Do…

The technical landscape is quite complex and exciting with multiple integration points. There is a huge backlog of exciting projects with primary focus being digitising the entire customer journey and bolstering the integration between Zuora, Salesforce, Workday and other Siteminder systems all while allowing and enabling the Billing Operations team to effectively use Zuora to perform Billing and Collections operations.

• Understand existing system landscape including but not limited to Zuora configurations (Product, Pricing, Subscription/Rate plan/Rate plan charge, Promos, Workflows, Bill runs, Refunds, Collections etc)
• Understand Siteminder product configuration, Sales and Billing cycle and associated technical implementations including Zuora Integrations with Salesforce, Workday and other Siteminder systems
• Design, Develop and maintain customisations within Zuora leveraging ZOQL and Zuora APIs, including the Orders API and Orders Harmonization model
• Building reusable workflows, data queries, reports, and automation for billing operations.
• Evaluate and adopt Zuora AI capabilities (agentic workflows, MCP Server) to automate billing operations and support use cases across the team
• Collaboratively develop and maintain integrations to Zuora alongside Salesforce and Workday Developers and Siteminder Engineering team
• Stay up to-date on Zuora functionalities and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
• Own and refresh sandboxes, provide guidance to L1 team and/or independently resolve BAU tickets and Incidents within SLA
• Create and maintain technical documentation

What You Have…

• Vast experience in Zuora with expertise in Zuora Billing (Product Catalog, Order Management, Rating & Billing, Global Payments, Reporting, Platform and Workflows) and Zuora CPQ(Quotes, 360+, Dev kit etc) modules
• Extensive experience in dealing with Zuora APIs and Data Loader
• Working knowledge of Zuora AI features and the Zuora MCP Server
• Expert in building and troubleshooting complex workflows
• Experience with data modeling and integration design
• Self motivated technical expert with high levels of Integrity and passion. Must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations
• Able to independently investigate production incidents, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, identify root causes, and implement preventive improvements.
• Extensive experience conducting design workshops and finalising design approach with wider teams. Extensive experience in Designing and documenting optimal and scalable solutions to address business requirements
• Proven ability to independently perform development, testing and deployment
• Experience in dealing with Zuora Support. Experience in handling low level tickets including but not limited to user access creation/removal, defining user roles, creating price/product catalog etc
