Responsibilities

• Research and write timely stories covering US politics and news.
• Produce news coverage, analysis, explainers, and commentary.
• Follow US political developments, identify strong story angles, and verify information using primary sources, public records, official statements, interviews, and credible reporting.
• Track major US news, identify stories relevant to the audience, and research the facts and context needed for accurate coverage.
• Select relevant, high-quality visuals for each story, including thumbnails, cover images, photographs, videos, and other supporting visual elements.
• Develop clear, well-supported arguments for analysis and commentary pieces.
• Work with editors to refine story angles, structure, clarity, and accuracy.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet editorial deadlines.
• Maintain the brand’s editorial voice and quality standards.
• Remain flexible during major political events and breaking news.
