Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Workday Data Conversion Consultant to drive full-cycle data conversion in Workday Finance and HCM. You will gather requirements, design conversion processes, and build tools/templates to ensure high-quality data migration.

You will lead data loading, validation, and troubleshooting while coordinating with project leadership and client teams. Strong Excel, ETL/XML/SQL skills and Workday certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle Workday data conversion implementations and provide expertise in data gathering, design, and loading.
• Develop tools, templates, and processes to ensure high-quality, repeatable data conversion activities.

• Plan configuration migration using Workday tools and validate data loaded into Workday.
• Assist clients in mapping legacy data and identifying data quality issues.

What You Will Do:

As a Workday Data Conversion Consultant at Guidehouse, you will play a crucial role in our full-cycle Workday implementations. You will provide expertise in requirements gathering, design, and implementation of customer data conversion processes. You will work closely with the Guidehouse Workday Practice leadership to build tools, templates, and processes that ensure high-quality, repeatable, and effective data conversion activities Manage build timelines and collaborate with leads and the project management team on tenant management. Plan and execute comprehensive configuration migration throughout deployment using Workday's delivered toolset. Serve as the primary knowledge source for converting data from legacy systems and spreadsheets into the Workday Cloud HCM & Financials system. Convert data into Workday using Workday-provided loading tools. Create ETL scripts to transform and load data in preparation for loading to Workday. Lead the validation of data loaded into Workday. Assist clients in mapping legacy data, identifying data quality issues, and overseeing conversion activities on the project. Communicate key information to project and client leadership. Collaborate with client counterparts to successfully deliver on shared objectives. Identify and escalation risks in a timely manner and develop alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary. Lead the identification of process improvements and changes to our methodology based on project experience.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 2+ years of experience working directly with Workday data conversion/data migration
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong ETL and XML capabilities.
• SQL experience.
• Active Workday Certification through Workday Partner
