Video Editor / Senior Video Editor - AI & Performance Creatives

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and creatively driven Video Editor / Senior Video Editor who can produce modern, high-performing video content at scale.

The role will primarily involve creating short-form video advertisements, social media videos, scene-based creatives, product videos, promotional content, and AI-generated videos for digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical editing skills, an excellent understanding of visual storytelling, and the ability to combine traditional video-editing techniques with the latest AI-powered production tools. As part of a fast-paced start-up environment, the candidate must be comfortable managing multiple projects, working with quick turnaround times and consistently delivering a high volume of quality videos.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, edit and produce high-quality video advertisements for Meta, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other digital platforms.
• Create engaging short-form content, including Reels, Shorts, performance ads, promotional videos, product videos and scene-based narratives.
• Convert scripts, briefs, storyboards and raw footage into visually compelling videos.
• Create AI-led video content using text-to-video, image-to-video, generative animation, AI avatars, synthetic voiceovers and other emerging formats.
• Use AI tools to generate scenes, backgrounds, characters, product environments, visual effects, transitions, and supporting creative assets.
• Produce multiple video variations for advertising campaigns, including different hooks, openings, formats, durations, captions and calls to action.
• Add motion graphics, kinetic typography, sound effects, music, transitions, colour grading and visual effects to enhance storytelling.
• Repurpose long-form content into platform-specific short-form videos.
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers, marketing teams and performance-marketing teams to develop conversion-focused creatives.
• Understand campaign objectives and create videos designed to improve engagement, click-through rates, lead generation and conversions.
• Stay updated with current social media trends, editing styles, viral formats, AI developments and platform-specific best practices.
• Maintain organised project files, templates, footage libraries, and creative asset folders.
• Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Experiment with new tools, formats, and creative approaches to improve content quality and production efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of professional video-editing experience in an agency, production house, digital-marketing company, media organisation or start-up.
• Advanced proficiency in video editing, visual storytelling, pacing, composition and scene construction.
• Strong experience creating AI based videos and AI prompting
• Excellent understanding of hooks, audience retention, transitions, storytelling structures and conversion-focused video formats.
• Ability to work with raw footage, stock footage, AI-generated visuals, voiceovers, music and motion graphics.
• Strong knowledge of colour correction, colour grading, audio mixing, sound design, typography and subtitles.
• Experience creating videos in multiple formats, including 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, and 16:9.
• Ability to produce a consistent volume of videos without compromising creativity or quality.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to independently take ownership of projects.
• Good communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating video advertisements, short-form content, motion graphics and AI-assisted video production is mandatory.

Preferred Editing and Creative Tools

The candidate is preferably proficient in a combination of the following tools:

• Gemini/ Google Flow
• ElevenLabs
• ChatGPT or equivalent AI tools for ideation, scripting and production planning

Knowledge of every tool listed above is not mandatory. However, the candidate must demonstrate strong practical experience with professional editing software and multiple AI-powered video-production tools.

Work Location

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. Candidates must be based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate.
