Job summary

Tata Elxsi is seeking a test engineer with proven skills in developing test cases for hardware/software system validation, focusing on automotive cockpit systems. You will validate components across infotainment, instrument clusters, cybersecurity, and functional safety, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key expertise includes HIL automation using Vector/NI/dSPACE, VTest Studio, CAPL scripting, and Python, plus strong diagnostics and communication abilities

Qualifications

• Experience in designing test cases for hardware/software validation.
• Experience validating automotive components (Infotainment, Instrument cluster, Cyber Security, FuSa).
• Understanding of cockpit systems and HIL automation tools (Vector/NI/dSPACE).
• Proficient in VTest Studio, CAPL scripting, and Python.
• Knowledge of software architectures and integration processes.
• Excellent diagnostics and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with SDV for cockpit systems.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN and vehicle networks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams for HIL development and execution.

Proven skills in developing test cases for hardware/software system validation

• Prior experience validating components in the Automotive EE space such as Infotainment, Instrument cluster, Cyber Security and FuSa, etc
• Good understanding of Cockpit system
• Experience in HIL Automation using Vector/NI/dSPACE preferred
• Expereince in test case design and development using VTest Studio, srcipting using CAPL, Python
• Good understanding of software architectures and integration processes.
• Excellent diagnostics and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong familiarity with emerging SDV - cockpit systems
• Strong knowledge in CAN,LIN and other Vehicle networks
• Should have strong working experience with cross functional teams for HIL development and execution
