Job summary

Valuelabs in India is seeking a Senior API Automation Engineer (Rest Assured) with 5 to 7 years of experience. You will design and maintain automated API tests for microservices using Rest Assured (Java).

You will partner with QA leads on test governance, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and define metrics dashboards in Power BI. You will also explore Generative AI to optimize test creation and automation workflows.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a QA engineer or similar.
• Specializes in API test automation using Rest Assured.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful services and Java.

Senior API Automation Engineer (Rest Assured)

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience specializing in API test automation using Rest Assured.

Key Responsibilities

• API Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated API test scripts using Rest Assured (Java) to test microservices and RESTful endpoints.


• Test Governance: Partner with Quality Leads to establish test strategies, quality gates, risk assessments, and production sign-offs.


• CI/CD Integration: Plug automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI) for continuous testing.


• Metrics & Reporting: Define testing KPIs and maintain quality dashboards in Power BI.


• Framework & ROI: Own automation tools, maintain standards, conduct automation audits, and evaluate ROI.


• Gen AI Innovation: Use Generative AI tools to optimize test case creation, test data generation, and automation workflows.
